But, you love to write so you could find other websites like blogs that are related to books aimed at children, and submit articles to them. Although you won’t likely get paid for those articles, you will most likely get a valuable back link to your website.

Writers for Books – How to Find the Right One for Your Book Project

THE SECRET TO YOUR SUCCESS AS AN AUTHOR

Though good writers for books are important, and it’s essential to have a well written book, there is something that is equally vital to your success as an author.

It would be ridiculous to imagine an Olympic athlete not training for years beforehand. Truth is, it takes dedication and persistence to be great in anything. Don’t let the overnight success story fool you. Even they took time and effort to get there.

To be successful as an author – a real success with lots of books sold and people clamoring to know you – you absolutely must DO certain things as an author. The whispers made in the movie, “Field of Dreams”, “Build it and they will come,” is not the way things work in the real world.

YOU MUST MAKE THINGS KNOWN IN ORDER TO GET ANYTHING TO HAPPEN. How else could you possibly sell a single book when others have no idea that it or you even exist?

So the secret to your success lies in making it known that your book is coming or is available and that you are worth listening to or learning from. The trick is, just how do you do that and create strong interest all the while?

There is a series of actions that you can do which have been shown time, and time again, to be involved in creating immense success for authors – even to the point of making bestsellers.

Knowing first that you have to do something to cause your success is the key. And then actually doing those specific things which need to be done with efficiency and correctness is the secret to your success as an author in so many ways.

If you want to get a book deal with a traditional publisher, having a platform established is a shoe-in for you and music to a literary agent’s and publisher’s ears. It’s exactly what they’re looking for: those who are readily creating a following and establishing themselves as the authority in a specific niche.

And just the same, if you want to self-publish, with such a platform you can sell a lot of books and other products/services. It truly is the answer to anyone’s challenges. Here’s why…

If you have a burning desire to have a book but can’t afford the cost of a good book writer, creating your platform will allow you to make money to fund your project in two possible ways:

1. by impressing traditional publishers so much that they will give you an advance to pay for your writer.
OR
2. by making money on informational product sales that then fund your book’s writing aspect.

Bottom line, YOU MUST BUILD A PLATFORM NO MATTER WHAT PATH YOU TAKE AS AN ASPIRING AUTHOR IF YOU WANT TO SUCCEED.

So there you have the secret to immense success as an author. If you don’t believe it, just talk to a failed book author and you will find that they did not do what has been revealed in this article.

Do Writers for Books Know How to Make You Successful?

Any of the writers for books out there might produce a great book for you, but then what? How do you make that great book known far and wide? The answer, my friend, isn’t blowing in the wind…it’s in others getting to know you.

In today’s literary world, one simply cannot rely on writers who write books to make them a successful author. Writers for books are not in the line or expertise of creating bestsellers or selling lots of books. YOU have to cause your own success. And here’s a wonderful secret…

Your success as a book author, aside from having a great written book, has everything to do with the public awareness of you as regards your book’s topic – getting yourself well-known far and wide as the authority for that subject. This is done by creating what’s known as a “platform.”

Your platform, briefly described, is the image you create of yourself and the exposure you accomplish. In other words, it is the RESULT of your promotional actions that create the ideal image of you to an ever-growing specific audience.

So while putting great effort into having a great, well-written book, also start thinking about what you’re going to do to become well-known and well thought of. Then begin immediately – get into action – and start. Waiting until your book is ready is far too late because it takes time to find people and build loyalty, create trust and SHOW BY ACTION that you truly are an expert and their lives will be enhanced by heeding your advice or being connected up in some way.

Some very effective ways to begin building your platform is with a website (this will show others that you are in business), start a blog and offer valuable information or that of interest, and begin thinking of ways and then offering things of value – for sale or for free – that your followers would want or need.

I’ll talk more about these and other successful actions for building a platform as time goes on. But please feel free to comment or make a request and I will write about what you want/need to know right now.

Writers for Books – Finding a Book Writer: What to Look for, What to Look Out For

Lord knows we’ve met our fair share of talkers who could never walk the walk when it came right down to getting something accomplished. You know…the braggers who never DID anything worthwhile. And certainly you will get an ear full from many individuals. So how does one determine the BSer from the real McCoy?

Writers for books, truly professional book writers, are very few and far between. In other words, it is a rare individual that you seek. This is important to know because when you run into “lots” of possible writers on-line, there will only be 1 or perhaps 2 that are worth their weight in gold. Why is this? Because a book must have the certain qualities that VERY few people can actually create. Vital book qualities like:

• the real potential to write a bestseller
• very professional in the grammatical and literal sense
• be free of almost all errors (there are no absolutes)
• reads exceptionally well
• easy to understand for the targeted audience
• is a joy and a pleasure to read

…are all aspects that cannot be ignored. The TRUE professional writer has to possess the ability to produce these qualities, and many more. So realize that writers for books are few and far between.

By sheer definition of what a “professional” is, a professional book writer works full-time, not evenings and weekends. Their job is to write all day, and to get paid for it. That’s what they do for a living. They don’t come home from work and write for a few hours in the evening and on weekends. That better defines the dilettante, someone with a pet project.

The truly professional writer for books will have a high quality, professional-looking Web site. As well, their business cards will be professionally produced and readily available.

As in any field, everything about the individual should be professional. Anything that is not should be viewed as a warning sign. When finding writers for books, there will be more about “the TRUE professional” book writer that will help you differentiate the good from the bad, the pro from the charlatan in coming articles. In my next article, I’ll show you how to differentiate between the professional and those you should avoid.

Is it Better to Have a Professional Write Your Book?

It’s important to consider whether you should actually write your own book or find a professional book writer to do the task. After all, the quality and effectiveness of the communication in your book is most important.

You might be surprised to find out that a great majority of the thousands of books published have been written in an author-writer collaboration. And a great many of the BEST books are in that category.

It actually makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Do you cut your own hair? Make your own car? Build your own house? What makes the world go ’round is the fact that we all have our own hats that we specialize in. And we provide service to others in one way or another. Together a great many things have been achieved.

And so, whether you end up deciding to write your own book or have another write it for you, in no way is one any “better” than the other. It simply boils down to how well your information is communicated on the page. NOTHING SHOULD BE MORE IMPORTANT AS REGARDS YOUR BOOK.

The questions you must consider if you are thinking about writing your book are:
1. Do you have enough extra time to get your book written within a reasonable timeline?
2. Can you adequately control a large volume of data?
3. Are you strong at articulating your thoughts and ideas in writing, without using your vocal chords, hands and facial expressions? Can you be persuasive?
4. Do you love to write or is it a chore?
5. Do you personally believe that you would do a better job than a professional? Hey, we all could bake a cake. But would you take on the task of making a wedding cake for 500 people or hire the services of a professional baker?

The best way to find out, if you’re on the fence about it, is to start on your book. Try to write a chapter and see what develops from that decision. If you produce nothing, you’re probably too busy to be taking on your book’s writing aspect. Otherwise, review what you have started with a mindset that you have never read it before and know nothing about what you’ve written. When you read it, does it make sense? Is it enjoyable or gripping? Does it reveal professionalism? Look for what qualities are present and what ones are missing. This kind of litmus test is pretty effective in revealing the proof in the pudding.

I often ask potential author clients who are trying to find writers for books to do this test if they honestly feel they can write their own books but seem to have some doubts about it. In my experience, because of either a lack of time or otherwise, 90 percent decide to hire the pro.

With this simple “test” of writing a chapter of your book, you will truly know whether you need to take up some courses on HOW to write or you will know that joining forces with a great writer is the smart thing to do.

Writers For Books Are Out There But They’re Not Where You Would Expect Them to Be

Writers For Books – When looking for writers to write a book for you, it is important to know that book writing is completely different all other types of writing. Over the past decade, if I had a nickel for every time someone said something to this effect: “I’m having my colleague who is a PhD write my book,” or “I’m having my friend who was an English teacher write my book,” or “I’m having a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist friend of mine write my book.” But that’s like saying “I’m having my foot doctor do brain surgery.”

Apparently close, but actually miles from whom you should be selecting for the task at hand!

Writers for books are specialized writers. Very much so because they have to know how to do a great many things and they must possess more abilities than all other types of writers put together.

Why? Because every aspect of writing (articles, sales copy, etc) must be an avid skill of the book writer. And most of all, one needs to be able to manipulate, tolerate and associate with a vast amount of data. And that is a momentous feel in and of itself.

So where do you find great book writers? This is a really good question, and I’m glad you asked : ). You see…

As with just about anything a immense value in this world, you’re not going to find it where everything else is. By definition in most walks of life, something of value has to be rare, different from the rest, a cut above the norm…. And in most places outdoors, if you were to walk 50 feet in any direction you would be able to find a stone. But look for a blue diamond or piece of gold and you’ll be flat out o’ luck.

So today, I’m going to refer to the online venues – the bidding sites where you can place a project for free and get loads of bids from “book writers.”

From a business standpoint, the concept is ingenious. But the flaw lies in the sheer simplicity of placing a bid. For with the ease of anyone wanting to get started without credential, nor experience, these venues since their inception have become magnets for the smooth talker, the fake and the “wannabee but don’t want to really learn how” kind of book writer.

How do I know so much about these sites? I was a member for many years, actually still am with one of them. Just can’t seem to totally let go. I actually p[lace a bid now and then. And along with myself and literally three other truly professional book writers, we send n bids once in a while.

What’s upsetting is the great number aspiring authors who get hurt, their dreams sometimes crushed by either shoddy work or outright criminality. The stories I’ve been told firsthand are heart-wrenching. Especially to a fellow author. I know what it’s like to have a burning desire to have a book written and published. I happen to be fortunate enough to have become a writer, so I get to share the experience with so many others year-round. People have come to me after having hired someone who talked a good talk in their bid. After thousands of dollars were “spent” to find a phone number no longer in service or 6 months gone by without a trace or plagiarized work representing the author and setting them up for serious trouble later on. Again, it’s just heart-breaking.

Whether done with malice or out of desperate survival, it happens on a regular basis. This is one reason why there are so many failed books. But even more so, the reason why thousands of books never make it to a publishing launch date at all.

Writers for books are definitely out there. But there definitely is a moral to this story:

…DON’T LOOK FOR DIAMONDS IN A ROCK PILE.

I’ll soon share with you how to go about finding the best book writer for your specific book project.

WRITERS FOR BOOKS – Hiring a Book Writer is Like a Marriage

Finding writers for books can be likened to finding a significant other. Why would I say that? There are many reasons, but to name a few:

1. You will be spending a year or more working with this writer. The average quality book typically takes one year to write, often longer. You’ll need to be able to get along well with your book writer. After all, having one’s a book created should be an exceptional experience, one that would be remembered fondly for the rest of your life.

2. You will need to put your utmost trust in book writer person as you confide this person to hold your information sacred and secure.

3. You need to be able to open up to your writer, feel comfortable and safe. The level of communication between author and writer must be incredible – no barriers present. Quite often, I’ve had author-clients tell me that I know them better than anyone else due to what they have told me. And your book writer needs to understand that what you tell him/her is a privilege and an honor,

4. As most collaborative literary efforts entail royalty/profit share between book writer and book author, you will have long-term commitments. Having some unruly person to contend with under contract is not the way to go

There are more reasons why writers for books can be like a relationship, in the sense of the need to be able to communicate and get along very well.

Too often I see people placing price first, while making the importance of the compatibility between author and writer secondary. Not only would choosing a writer that’s not compatible with you ruin the experience, it will also affect the outcome of the finished product.

Believe it or not, words are coupled with the emotions of the writer, and those emotions come across from the page to the reader. If lower toned emotions like jealousy, resentment, anger, antagonism…are present during the writing process, they will most certainly taint the context of your book.

If one “doesn’t really wish you the best,” they’re not going to write well for you. Or is they write their best but are angry or frustrated, they will not produce the quality needed for a great book.

This article comes off a little negative. But it is better to KNOW how important writers for books can be. Choosing the right book writer is the most important decision you’ll make for your book endeavor. Choose wisely.
